Now that we have closed at 2 King Street, the focus of the summer is on the interlude and what better way to introduce to you our other venue than with a free holiday giveaway!
Have you ever fancied yourself as the next Pete Tong or Grandmaster Flash? Are you the one always rocking the party with your iPod playlists? Ever heard a club DJ and thought; ‘I can do better than that!’
Well this summer it’s time to put your money where you mouth is and join us over 3 very special Sunday nights as the Interlude starts it search for Leicester’s next hype! No matter your experience, no matter your level of skill, we want to hear from you! This is a talent search with a BIG difference; No holds are barred as we search for the best…. of the rest!
We want people of all backgrounds, all musical styles, and all levels of experience. It doesn’t matter if you’re a DMC champ in waiting or someone who’s never touched a deck in their life. If you think you can smash the dance harder than PJ & Duncan in a JCB and get the crowd rocking, then you could find yourself and a friend whisked off all expenses paid to the worlds number one clubbing destination IBIZA! We’ll even throw in a £100 spending money to get you into the White Isle party spirit!
16 Contestants will be whittled down to 8 finalists over the course of June and July before our grand final in August.
Heat 1 – Sunday 12th June
Heat 2 – Sunday 10th July
The Final – Sunday 14th August
Each DJ wannabe has 20 mins to spin, scratch, crash and mash up the place with any style of music, using any level of skill to get the crowd reaching for the lasers. Each entrant will be judged ENTIRELY on crowd response, so even if you can’t mix a tin of paint without trouble, you and a lucky friend could still be in with a chance to win the amazing holiday trip to Ibiza!The event will be hosted by our very own master of the clash DJ Big Disappointment and participant registration will take place on the night with only a limited number of spaces in the 2 heats so make sure you get down early, and best of all, it’s FREE!
Grab that CD collection, burn those MP3′s, dust off that copy of Hanson’s ‘MMMBop’ your sister owns and release the inner DJ within you! Remember the competition will be judged on crowd response ONLY! So the bigger the following you can bring to show their support on the night the more chance you have to win! Bring your friends, bring your family, you can even bring your NAN! Who knows maybe she’s better than you?
